You’ll learn how to knit a cardigan from cast-on to completion. Following Debbie’s pattern and using worsted-weight yarn, you’ll do ribbing, stockinette stitch, increasing, decreasing, picking up stitches, buttonholes and seaming. Your goal will be to wear it home after your final class. This is the perfect class for your first sweater endeavor!

When Jane teaches at the shop in February she can show you how to make the very buttons she uses on her model. Don’t miss this opportunity!

Ever looked at a beautiful lace shawl and wished you could knit one? Afraid to try? If so, then Madison’s Lace Boot Camp is just what you need. She will cover a variety of techniques and tips essential to lace knitting, including tools used, yarns and how they relate to lace, cast ons and bind offs, some increases and decreases, basic chart reading, and the magic of blocking. This workshop could be your jumping off point to explore lace knitting. You’ll learn the skills needed to knit the lovely Shaelyn shawl or to jump into one of our lace KALs offered this winter.

Janie La Cras, who spins, dyes and knits on the small island of Guernsey in the middle of the English Channel, designed this lovely shawl and gives you several options, including adding beads.
