Skill Levels, Homework & Pattern Purchasing
When signing up for a class, please note the skill level required and if there is homework. If you do not hear about homework from us, please call the shop and inquire. Homework is designated by an * after the class name.
Novice: Never even held a pair of knitting needles? You are a novice.
Advanced Beginner: Know how to cast on and bind off, knit and purl, increase and decrease without supervision.
Intermediate: Know a variety of stitches, how to use double points, knit in the round, and mid-level shaping without supervision.
Advanced: Know lace stitches and intricate stitch patterns, Fair Isle, and how to short row without supervision.
PATTERN INFORMATION: What does “purchase at shop”, “in-store Ravelry purchase” or “obtain at Ravelry.com” all mean? If a pattern on the ABYC Materials List indicates it can be purchased at the shop, that’s easy. We’ll just charge you for the pattern and hand you a hard copy. Some Ravelry patterns allow you to pay “in-store” and then Ravelry sends it to your Ravelry account or to your personal email. There are still other Ravelry patterns that you can download either free or with payment on your own.
NOTE: If there is a class that you would like to take but it’s not offered when you are available, please let us know. Often we get requests to add a class at a different time, day, etc. If there are enough people interested we will certainly try and do that.
Class Policy: Class fee must be paid in advance to reserve your space. Class materials must be purchased at the shop in advance of the class. Teachers reserve the right to cancel a class with less than three sign-ups or a KAL with less than five sign-ups.
Cancellation Policy: Class and workshop fees are refundable or transferable up to two weeks before the start of the class. We cannot refund or transfer after that.
