CH29: Weaving Workshop



Bring your yarn, loom and equipment to warp your project in class. Or bring your loom with a project in progress to get help with a weaving technique. Problem solving (broken threads, warping errors) and finishing options can also be discussed.  

This is NOT a beginner class. You should be able to independently warp a rigid heddle loom. If you need help with basic warping, please consider taking the Intro to Weaving as a refresher course.

Yarn for the class must be purchased at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company before the first day of class. Please bring the necessary weaving tools and equipment: loom, appropriate rigid heddle reed, shuttles, brown paper cut to the width of the back beam of your loom, waste yarn, cardboard roll the width of the front beam, scissors, tapestry needle, pencil, paper for note-taking.

Instructor Bio:
Carla has been sewing, knitting, and weaving along with other fiber arts for over 50 years and is fascinated by all aspects of each. She has been teaching rigid heddle weaving at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company for the last nine years and she's still having fun.
