Crochet is the come back kid and with so many stylish modern patterns available we can't help but get excited. This isn't your nana's afghan class, but we will be making another fun home-dec item. The Mosaic Basket pattern uses two contrasting yarns to show off that variegated or hand-dyed yarn you've had your eye on. Use your basket to store your crochet hooks or as a yarn bowl for your next project.
Yarn for the class must be purchased at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company before the first day of class. Yarn in skeins must be wound before the first day of class.
Materials required: Purchase the pattern https://yarnandchai.com/shop/mosaic-basket-ad-free-pdf/ before class. Bring crochet hooks in size H (5.0mm) and G (4.25mm), tapestry needle, scissors, stitch marker, pencil and paper to take notes.
Please Note: If necessary, class and workshop fees can be transferred to another class or credited to your account up to two weeks before the start of the class.
Techniques learned in this project include crochet in the round using the magic circle, single crochet, spike stitch, half-double crochet, and third loop.
You should have some basic experience crocheting, including being able to single crochet, half-double crochet, and crochet in the round.
