AW07: Holiday Hot Pads



One thing there never seems to be enough of around the holidays is.....Hot Pads! Dig deep in every drawer and cupboard but you never seem to find enough for all the savory and sweet items coming out of the oven. Whether you make these for yourself, as a gift for the host or for your favorite cook, they will surely be loved! 

Materials and Equipment Required:
Yarn in the model is: Berroco Pima 100, 1 skein of each color. Yarn in skeins must be wound before the first day of class.
Bring crochet hook in size H (5.00mm), tapestry needle, scissors, pencil & paper to take notes.

Please Note: If necessary, class and workshop fees can be transferred to another class or credited to your account up to two weeks before the start of the class.

Skill Details:
Techniques learned in this class include: how to herringbone half-double crochet stitch, puff or bobble stitch, change colors, carry yarn, and hide tails.
Materials Included:
The pattern Crochet Tree Stripe Hot Pad from Daisy Farm Crafts will be provided.
Requirements:
You should have some experience crocheting, including being able to chain, single crochet, half-double crochet, and slip stitch.

Instructor Bio:
Amanda has been creating with fiber for almost twenty years. After taking numerous art classes in college including ceramics, intaglio printing, and wood carving, Amanda became a self-taught crocheter in 2003. She picked up the love of weaving and knitting over the last several years through classes at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company. Amanda has taught rigid heddle weaving with Carla since 2019.
