Your First Cuff Down Sock

This easy sock will show you basic sock construction created by knitting in the round. Starting at the cuff, knitting the leg, the heel flap, the heel gusset, foot and toe. You will be working short rows, picking up stitches and closing the toe with the Kitchener stitch. This is a 3 part class, please plan on attending all 3 classes for best results.

Prerequisite: Must be able to knit and purl in the same row and read a knitting pattern independently, some experience with DPNs a plus.

Materials: 210 yds of worsted weight yarn (there are sizes available adult Medium/Large)
Needles: #7 32" circulars or #7 DPNs, removable stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Pattern will be provided in class

Note: Class and workshop fees can be credited to your account or transferable up to two weeks before the start of the class. We cannot credit accounts or transfer after that window.

Skill Level:	Intermediate
Skill Details:	Must be able to knit and purl in the same row, without assistance.
Requirements:	Purchase yarn from Alamitos Bay and have required needles and supplies (markers, tapestry needle, tape measure, scissors, etc) prior to class, having yarn wound if needed.
Instructor:	Becky Madison
Instructor Bio:	Becky is a retired teacher and principal from Northern California and recently moved with her husband to Long Beach. Becky learned to knit and do a variety of needle crafts as a young girl. She re-learned how to knit when pregnant by knitting an Aran sweater while she was living in Scotland. Becky enjoys knitting for gifts, learning new techniques and sharing her skills with others.

Price does not include class supplies. Supplies must be purchased from the shop prior to the first day of class.
