Buttonhole Scarf



It’s a scarf and a cowl! Weave in a buttonhole at one end, and this scarf converts to a cowl with a quick wrap and tuck. A variety of looks with just one piece!

Completion of Introduction to Weaving at ABYC or equivalent is recommended. 
You should be able to independently warp a rigid heddle loom. 

Materials and Equipment: Loom with 15" weaving width minimum, 12-dent reed, 1 shuttle. Yarn is Birdstreet Kestrel Zebra 600 yards and Baah La Jolla Black Pearl, 175 yards. Substitute any fingering weight yarn.

Yarn for the class must be purchased at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company before the first day of class.
Yarn must be wound, if necessary, before the first day of class.

Please Note: If necessary, class and workshop fees can be transferred to another class or credited to your account up to two weeks before the start of the class.

Please bring the necessary weaving tools and equipment: loom, appropriate rigid heddle reed, shuttles, brown paper to fit the back beam of your loom, waste yarn, cardboard roll the width of the front beam, scissors, tapestry needle, pencil, paper for note-taking.
