SDC433: How to Crochet a Granny Square Two Ways



Granny Squares are a popular crochet motif used to make a multitude of items. Granny Squares are easy to crochet, once you get started you won't want to stop.
In this single, 3 hour class let us show you how to start and make a closed and open granny square. We will also cover how to change colors in the granny square motif. 
We will talk about the structure of a granny square and see what one looks like on a chart. 

Supplies:
Yarn: Worsted weight yarn, at least 200 yds of one color, if you would like to change colors you can purchase more.
Hook: size H or J

Prerequisites: You must be able to do these without assistance
Make a crochet chain and double crochet

Homework: Be sure your to have your supplies and your Alamitos Bay Yarn Company yarn wound, if necessary, before the day of class.

Note: Class and workshop fees can be credited to your account or transferable up to two weeks before the start of the class. We cannot credit accounts or transfer after that.
