AW15: Color Palette Rug

Grab six colors of Remix. Three light and three dark, three cool and three warm, or three bright and three neutral, you decide! We'll combine the colors to make a pleasing palette for the handsome rug.

Completion of Intro to Weaving at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company or equivalent is recommended.
You should be able to independently warp a rigid heddle loom.

Materials and Equipment Required: Loom with 25" minimum weaving width, 5-dent reed, 2 shuttles.

Yarn in the model is 6 balls of Remix by Berroco (1,296 yards total) and 1 cone of Beam by Gist (260 yards needed).

Yarn for the class must be purchased at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company before the first day of class.

Please Note: If necessary, class and workshop fees can be transferred to another class or credited to your account up to two weeks before the start of the class.

Please bring your loom, stand, and these supplies to all weaving classes: warping peg, heddle hook, brown paper to fit the width of the back beam, waste yarn, cardboard roll to fit front beam, scissors, tapestry needle, pencil, and paper for note-taking.

Instructor Bio:

Amanda has been creating with fiber for almost twenty years. She became a self-taught crocheter in 2003 and picked up the love of weaving and knitting over the last several years through classes at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company. Amanda has taught rigid heddle weaving with Carla since 2019.
