CHAW: Double Weave Party



Weaving with two heddles expands your loom’s capabilities. You will learn how to weave in layers with a fold on one or both sides. There are a variety of project choices for our Party: a color block baby blanket, shawl or a tube pillow cover as beginning double weave projects. 
Little Plaid Blankie or The Big Bad Blankie*** are also options if you have completed one of the projects above. 

Completion of Introduction to Weaving at ABYC or equivalent is required. 
You must be able to independently warp a rigid heddle loom. 

Materials and Equipment: Loom with 15" minimum weaving width and 2 reed capacity, two 5, 8 or 12 dent reeds - depending on project, 2 shuttles. See models for yarn suggestions and yardage. ***Loom with a 25" weaving width and 2 reed capacity is required for the Big Bad Blankie.

Yarn for the class must be purchased at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company before the first day of class.
Yarn must be wound, if necessary, before the first day of class.

Please Note: If necessary, class and workshop fees can be transferred to another class or credited to your account up to two weeks before the start of the class.

Requirements:
Please bring your loom, stand, and these supplies, to all weaving classes: warping peg, heddle hook, brown paper to fit the width of back beam, waste yarn, cardboard roll to fit front beam, scissors, tapestry needle, pencil, paper for note-taking.
