AW18: Juvie Chevron Cowl



Tunisian crochet is here to stay. In The Tunisian Crochet Handbook by Toni Lipsey, this beautiful cowl stood out as something we just had to make. We can't wait to see which colors you choose!

This is a 3 part class, each class is 2 hours long. Please try to attend all three classes for best results.

Materials and Equipment:
Pattern: Purchase The Tunisian Crochet Handbook by Toni Lipsey, available at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company.
Yarn: 405 yards total of a DK weight yarn in four colors. 225 yards of the main color and 60 yards each of the 3 complimentary colors. The model was made with Pima Soft Cotton by Berroco. 
Hooks:
Size US J/10 (6mm) Tunisian crochet hook with a 16" cable
Size US H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
Notions: Tapestry needle

Prerequisites: Basic crochet skills are needed. You must be able to single crochet independently. 

Homework: Before the day of first class have your yarn purchased from Alamitos Bay Yarn Company and supplies, yarn wound, if needed. 

Note: Class and workshop fees can be credited to your account or transferable up to two weeks before the start of the class. We cannot credit accounts or transfer after that.

Instructor Bio:
Amanda has been creating with fiber for almost twenty years. She became a self-taught crocheter in 2003 and picked up the love of weaving and knitting over the last several years through classes at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company. Amanda has taught rigid heddle weaving with Carla since 2019.
