SDC100: Present Wrapping Workshop

Learn several different present embellishments to pretty up your presents for the holidays or any time of year!
In this single 2 and a half hour class you will see and be able to experiment with several different present embellishments. Learn how to make a tassel, use our pom pom makers and/or a knitted or crocheted topper that can also be used as an ornament.

Yarn: Please feel free to bring your own scraps or yarn that you choose, the price of the class also includes yarn provided at the workshop for your use.
Needles: If you may be wanting to crochet or knit an embellishment, bring a G or H hook and/or a 5, 6, 7 needle.
Notions: Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Pattern: Patterns will be available for embellishments in class.

Prerequisites: You must be able to do all of these without assistance:
Cast on/chain
Bind off
Knit and purl in the same row/work basic crochet stitches
Read a knitting/crochet pattern

Note: Class and workshop fees can be credited to your account or transferable up to two weeks before the start of the class. We cannot credit accounts or transfer after that.

Class size is limited.

Skill Details:

Must be able to knit, purl, knit & purl in the same row, cast on, bind off. If crocheting, be able to chain, single and double crochet and read a knitting/crochet pattern without assistance.

Requirements:

Have yarn purchased from Alamitos Bay and required supplies and yarn wound if needed. See skill details.

Sandra has been teaching Fiber Arts for over 20 years. She is a Certified Therapeutic Fiber Arts Instructor with emphasis in Special Education. She uses an student driven approach allowing each person to learn at their own pace.
