AW23: Flower Power Potholder



Warning! These flowers are addictive. You can't make just one! Use them in the kitchen or as a decorative coaster for you favorite plant. 

This is a 2 part class. Please try to attend both sessions for best results.

Materials and Equipment:
Flower Power Pot Holder pattern by Amanda Wieland will be provided in class.

Yarn: Two or three (or more!) colors of a worsted weight 100% cotton yarn (1 skein of each color is plenty to make more than one potholder). Models are made with Queensland Costal Cotton, but Pima 100 by Berroco is another great choice. 

Hook: US G/4.00mm
 
Notions: Tapestry needle

Prerequisites: Basic crochet skills are recommended. 

***Yarn for the class must be purchased at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company before the first day of class. Yarn in skeins must be wound before the first day of class.***

Note: Class and workshop fees can be credited to your account or transferable up to two weeks before the start of the class. We cannot credit accounts or transfer after that.

You will learn the double magic circle, working in the round, double crochet, and chain stitches.

Instructor Bio:
Amanda has been creating with fiber for twenty years. She became a self-taught crocheter in 2003 and picked up the love of weaving and knitting over the last several years through classes at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company. Amanda has taught rigid heddle weaving since 2019.
