BM005: A Better Fit - Why Gauge Matters
Do you shy away from making gauge swatches before beginning a project? Would you like your garments to fit better? Gauge swatching makes all the difference! Together we'll learn to knit gauge swatches, accurately measure them, and make the results work for us. They'll no longer be just a chore, but part of the fun of our next projects, and ensure a better fitting garment.
Materials and Equipment:
Yarn: 200 yards of worsted weight wool/wool blend
Needles: circular needles-sizes 7, 8, and 9
Notions: calculator, ruler, tapestry needle, tape measure, pencil, and scissors

Becky is a retired teacher and principal from Northern California and recently moved with her husband to Long Beach. Becky learned to knit and do a variety of needle crafts as a young girl. She re-learned how to knit when pregnant by knitting an Aran sweater while she was living in Scotland.
Becky enjoys knitting for gifts, learning new techniques and sharing her skills with others.
