Learn how to weave a tube on a rigid heddle loom using two reeds. Tubes can be used to make bags, garments, or pillows! In this class, we'll explore warping a double weave project in multiple colors and weaving with more than one shuttle.
Completion of Intro to Weaving at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company or equivalent is recommended. You should be able to independently warp a rigid heddle loom. Come into the shop to choose which pillow you want to make.
Materials and Equipment Required for Bud Pillow (Gray, yellow, pink, and white sample): Rigid heddle loom with 15" minimum weaving width and double heddle capability Two 5-dent reeds 4 shuttles 2 pick-up sticks 4 skeins of Bud in 4 different colors, 325 yards used

Yarn for the class must be purchased at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company before the first day of class. Yarn in skeins must be wound before the first day of class.

Please bring your loom, stand, and these supplies to all weaving classes: warping peg, heddle hook, brown paper to fit the width of the back beam, waste yarn, cardboard roll to fit front beam, scissors, tapestry needle, pencil, and paper for note-taking.
