Houndstooth is one of the most recognizable patterns in the color-and-weave technique. This shawl has six colors, that's three pairs of houndstooth showing up throughout the piece.
Completion of Introduction to Weaving at ABYC or equivalent is recommended. You should be able to independently warp a rigid heddle loom.
Materials and Equipment: Loom with 20" weaving width minimum, 10-dent reed, 6 shuttles. Yarn is Lana Gross Ecopuno or Berroco Remix Light in six colors, approximately 180 yards of each.
***Yarn for the class must be purchased at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company before the first day of class. Yarn must be wound, if necessary, before the first day of class.***

Please bring your loom, stand, and these supplies, to all weaving classes: warping peg, heddle hook, brown paper to fit the width of back beam, waste yarn, cardboard roll to fit front beam, scissors, tapestry needle, pencil, paper for note-taking.
