This comprehensive workshop is designed to take the knitter through all the steps of producing a sweater with the Cocoknits Method of construction. Most of the sweaters in the book use the same method, and many other patterns are available on the Cocoknits website that can utilize the skills and techniques learned.
Sweaters are seamlessly knit top down using a combination of flat and circular knitting. When the garment is finished, the only seaming is closing up the underarm gap. Construction begins at the back neckline and forms tailored shoulders and sleeves after picking up some stitches.
For those taking the course for the first time, instruction will include: full explanation of the Cocoknits Method, choosing the correct sweater size, utilizing the Cocoknits Sweater Worksheet (provided in the book) to ensure ease in knitting and shaping of the yoke without referring to written instructions, and full finishing techniques for your sweater.
For those repeating the course, personalized instruction will be given for either completion of the student’s first project or assistance in constructing a new sweater.
