
Deflected Double Weave

Deflected double weave is intricate looking and fun to weave. Weaving two separate layers at the same time emphasizes texture and subtle color variations.
This technique is lovely and can be woven into in a scarf, shawl, table runner or ???
Completion of Introduction to Weaving at ABYC or equivalent is required.
You should be able to independently warp a rigid heddle loom.
Materials and Equipment: Loom with 15" weaving width minimum and two reed capacity, two reeds sized to fit yarn selection, 2 shuttles
***Yarn for the class must be purchased at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company before the first day of class.
Yarn must be wound, if necessary, before the first day of class.***
Please Note: If necessary, class and workshop fees can be transferred to another class or credited to your account up to two weeks before the start of the class.

Requirements: | Please bring your loom, stand, and these supplies, to all weaving classes: warping peg, heddle hook, brown paper to fit the width of back beam, waste yarn, cardboard roll to fit front beam, scissors, tapestry needle, pencil, paper for note-taking. |
