AW33: Day Date Cardigan



This crocheted hexagon cardigan is a great first sweater for an adventurous beginner, or a fun, easy project for an intermediate crocheter. 

This is a 3 part class. Please try to attend all 3 sessions for best results.

Materials and Equipment:

Pattern: Day Date Cardigan by Make & Do Crewavailable on Ravelry at the link below. Purchase a pdf copy to printout before the first day of class or bring your favorite mobile device to follow along with the free pattern.

Yarn: This oversized pattern uses a DK weight yarn and is completely size adjustable. The sample was made with Rowan Cotton Revive in four colors (size M - 9 balls used, 2 of each color with an extra ball for the ribbing). See the pattern for the yardage needed for your size. Please Note: The yardage listed in the pattern is for one color. If you use more than one color you will need additional yardage. 

Hook: Size J (6.00 mm) or the size needed to obtain gauge. 
 

Notions: Tapestry needle, scissors, 20 stitch markers, and paper & pencil for taking notes. 

Prerequisites: Basic crochet skills are required. Double crochet, chain stitches, and double crochet decreases are the stitches used. 

***Yarn for the class must be purchased at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company and yarn in skeins must be wound before the first day of class. ***

Class and workshop fees can be credited to your account or transferable up to two weeks before the start of the class. We cannot credit accounts or transfer after that.

Amanda has been creating with fiber for over twenty years. She became a self-taught crocheter in 2003 and picked up the love of weaving and knitting over the last several years through classes at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company. Amanda has taught rigid heddle weaving since 2019.
