The Loom & Needle Cowl

The Loom & Needle Cowl is the perfect showcase for a favorite yarn. The weaving flows into knitting, knitting into weaving, and continues in an uninterrupted circle. Not a knitter? No worries! The other half can be crocheted!

**This is a 3 session class. Plan to attend all the sessions for a successful piece.**

Session 1 - you will warp and start weaving the first half of the cowl.
Session 2 -  you will be hemming each end and picking up stitches to knit or crochet. Your knitting or crochet must be completed before the 3rd class. 
Session 3 - you will joining the knitting or crochet to your weaving.
 

Completion of Introduction to Weaving at ABYC or equivalent is recommended. 
You must be able to independently warp a rigid heddle loom. 
Must be able to knit and purl or complete basic crochet stitches independently.

Materials and Equipment: Yarn - approximately 600 to 800 yards dependent on the yarn weight, 14" Loom width required, reed size dependent on yarn weight, 1 shuttle, knitting needle US #7 - 9 circular, crochet hook B or C  


***Yarn for the class must be purchased at Alamitos Bay Yarn Company before the first day of class.
Yarn must be wound, if necessary, before the first day of class.***

Please Note: If necessary, class and workshop fees can be transferred to another class or credited to your account up to two weeks before the start of the class.
