Sashiko Coasters - Japanese Embroidery

Sashiko is a traditional type of Japanese embroidery or stitching. The word Sashiko means “little stabs” in Japanese. This form of stitching is used for both decorative and functional reinforcement of cloth and clothing and consists of rows of running stitch that build up repeated patterns.

You will learn how to create beautiful sashiko coasters using simple hand-stitching techniques. Preprinted fabric will include four different designs.
