BM002: Kehinde Hat



The Kehinde Hat has an interesting two-color pattern that appears to be woven but really is knitted. Slipped stitches are used, one color in each row, and the construction is basic. Knit up one of these soft cozy hats for yourself or as a special gift.

This is a two session class; please plan on attending both class sessions for best results. 

Prerequisite: Must be able to knit and purl in the same row, increase/decrease and read a pattern independently.

Materials: 
Yarn: Model is in Fibre Co. Acadia and Fibre Co. Cirro - 1 skein each, approximately 300 yards total. You will need more if you are making a larger size.  
Needles: US Size 3 & 6, 16" circulars and US Size 6 DPNs
Please bring the following supplies: a pencil, tapestry needle, scissors, stitch markers.

Homework: This is very important!!!
Knit a swatch in slipped stitch pattern to get the following gauge: 20 stitches and 37 rows = 4".

Note: If necessary, class and workshop fees can be transferred to another class or credited to your account up to two weeks before the start of the class.

Instructor Bio:
Becky is a retired teacher and principal from Northern California and recently moved with her husband to Long Beach. Becky learned to knit and do a variety of needle crafts as a young girl. She re-learned how to knit when pregnant by knitting an Aran sweater while she was living in Scotland.
Becky enjoys knitting for gifts, learning new techniques and sharing her skills with others.
