JH01: Finishing Your Knitting



Do you have knit pieces sitting around awaiting assembly? Do you want to feel more confident putting together your sweater? Then this two-session class is for you!
Session 1 will teach vertical seaming for side seams, in stockinette, ribbing and garter stitch. It will also include invisible weaving in of ends.
Session 2 will teach horizontal seams as used in shoulder seams.

Materials: Knitted swatches and yarn, yarn for seaming, bent tip big tapestry needle, locking stitch markers

Please Note: If necessary, class and workshop fees can be transferred to another class or credited to your account up to two weeks before the start of the class.

Instructor Bio:
Twenty years ago Jan walked into ABYC looking for embroidery floss, and somehow walked out with yarn, needles, and signed up for a sock class. She's been knitting ever since. She was a Consultant Dietitian in private practice for 40 years before retiring. Jan began working on The Knitting Guild Association's Master Knitter certification in 2017 and completed the program last year.
