SDC420: How to Magic Loop



Learn to use the Magic Loop method of knitting in the round, in place of double pointed needles.
In this single 2 hour class you will learn how to organize your stitches on an extra long needle to form the Magic Loop to knit a smaller circumference circle. You will use both knit and purl stitches to make a pair of fingerless mitts in two colors of DK weight yarn. We will discuss alternate applications for this handy and versatile technique.

Yarn: Model is knit in two colors of Acadia by The Fibre Company. You will need at least 150 yds of one or two colors for your mitts.
Needles: Size 7 - 40" circular needles
Notions: Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Pattern: Pattern will be given in class.

Prerequisites: You must be able to do all of these without assistance
Cast on
Bind off
Knit and purl in the same row
Read a knitting pattern 
Knit in the round

Note: Class and workshop fees can be credited to your account or transferable up to two weeks before the start of the class. We cannot credit accounts or transfer after that.

Class size is limited and masks may be required, please bring one.
