JH002: Sirius Sweater



Sirius, by Camilla Vad, is an elegant and soft, top-down pullover sweater with a pretty Fair Isle yoke utilizing three or four colors. It is worked in the round, with no seams and features 3/4 length sleeves - great for SoCal weather. It can be A-lined or with straight sides. The model has straight sides.
Some experience with fair isle knitting will be very helpful.

Materials and Equipment Required: 
Yarn in model is The Fibre Company's Acadia, 1015 - 1450 yards in main color and 145 yards in each contrast color.
US 6, or size to meet gauge of 20sts/4" in the round
US 7, or one size larger than needle used to meet gauge

US 4 DPNs, or 2 sizes smaller than needle used for body, for ribbing at neck, bottom and cuff (or magic loop or two circulars) 
24" - 32" length needles will be needed working the sweater body in the round.
Removable stitch markers, measuring tape, sharp tapestry needle, waste yarn

Twenty years ago Jan walked into ABYC looking for embroidery floss, and somehow walked out with yarn, needles, and signed up for a sock class. She's been knitting ever since. She was a Consultant Dietitian in private practice for 40 years before retiring. Jan began working on The Knitting Guild Association's Master Knitter certification in 2017 and completed the program last year.
